CONSULTATION WITH OTHERS
Public scoping for this project began with the mailing of the proposed action
to the public on April 4, 2000. This letter identified specific areas being
considered for caves management, project issues, and timelines for providing
input (Appendix G). This project was also included in the spring, summer, and
Fall 2000 Schedule of Projects. The responses were incorporated by the IDT into
the Issues in Chapter II. The effects of the issues are discussed in detail in
Chapter III, Environmental Consequences. The list of organizations and people,
who were notified by letter regarding this proposal, as well as persons and
organizations responding to the proposed action, and a copy of their comments,
can be found in Appendix G.
