East Slope Training Zone Committee

The East Slope Oregon Interagency Wildland Fire Training Committee is composed of fire program training officers from the East Slope Training Zone Wildland Fire Suppression Agencies and Community College(s) from the crest of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon through the Central portion of the state.

The purpose of the committee is to provide an efficient and effective way to meet fire program training needs through an interagency forum, and to develop a process for coordinating agency sponsored training. For further information, see the East Slope Oregon Training Committee Charter.

Courses Offered through East Slope Oregon Training Committee:

  • The committee offers 100, 200 and approved 300 level wildland fire courses to the member agencies that it represents.
  • The platform for these courses includes use of community colleges as well as local area coordinating/sponsorship.
  • If space is available for the courses offered, other agency nominations may be submitted. Preference will continue to be given to member agencies.
