OHV Grant Proposals — Public Comments Needed

The Tahoe National Forest is requesting comments on a proposed Cooperative Agreement application being submitted to the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division. The agreement application requests funding for Forest "Ground Operations" (includes Conservation, Trail Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance), "Planning," and "Law Enforcement" projects. There is a different process for filing comments on the application this year. Starting on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, the public may view this, and all grant applications, on the State's internet website: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/. Previsions are made on that site to comment electronically which will go to both the State OHV Division and the Tahoe National Forest.
