On July 24, Regional Forester Randy Moore of the Pacific Southwest Region of the Forest Service officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Matt Rogers, President of the California Deer Association (CDA). This MOU formalizes an existing partnership with CDA; an organization that is dedicated to improving habitats for deer and other wildlife species throughout the state.

CDA began in 1996 and has been an active partner with the Forest Service since then, contributing thousands of hours of volunteer labor and hundreds of thousands of dollars toward meeting their mission and that of the Forest Service as well.

Whatever the scale and magnitude of the task, the California Deer Association and its’ membership have been invaluable in supporting management of forest habitats for deer and other wildlife in California. The Pacific Southwest Region appreciates their dedication and hard work and looks forward to continuing to work together in the future.
