Forest Pest Conditions in California is compiled and published annually under the auspices of the California Forest Pest Council for public and private forest land managers and other interested parties to keep them informed on conditions on forested land in California.

The California Forest Pest Council was organized in 1951 to evaluate forest pest conditions, to report on damage, to recommend pest control applications, and to review policy, legal issues, and research related to forest pest control. Subjects represented in the Council are air pollution, animal damage, diseases, insects, and weeds. Proceedings of the annual meeting have been published since 1990.
