Recreation - Kings River Area Camping

Setting	Located along the Kings River on large sandy flat area. Good shade provide by oak and pine trees.
Directions	Take Belmont Avenue east from Fresno. Follow Belmont Avenue until it turns in Trimmer Springs Road. Continue on Trimmer Springs Road past the community of Piedra and around Pine Flat Reservoir. Campground is located at the east end of the lake on the Kings River. Driving time from Fresno is 1 1/2 hours.

Services	Several whitewater rafting companies operate in the area, April through July. No cell phone coverage in the area. Pay phone is available at Balch Camp.

Special	Great place to camp during spring and fall months. Can be very hot during summer months. Watch out for rattlesnakes and poison oak. Poison Oak abounds in this area. Please avoid plants with three leaf clusters: "Leaves of three, let it be!"
