Cabin and Lookout Rentals


Wishon Cabin

The Wishon cabin is located within walking distance to the Doyle Springs Trailhead. This trail travels north along the Middle Fork Tule River, through the Wishon Grove of giant sequoias, and eventually reaches the Mountain Home State Forest area which also has many giant sequoia trees. This is a popular trail for fishermen and hikers.



Enjoying Your Stay:  The cabin sleeps 6 and is equipped with 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, and a futon. The cabin has electricity and running hot/cold water and is heated. Refrigerator, cook stove/range, and coffee maker are provided. Pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, and utensils are provided for 6 persons. Cabin users should provide linens, pillows, blankets, towels, toiletries, and food (including condiments like salt, pepper, etc.). There is a porch, picnic table, and a campfire ring outside. Suggested additional items to bring would be toilet paper, paper towels, tinfoil and baggies, dish cloths or towels, wood for the outside fire-ring, camp chairs for sitting around the campfire or on the porch, a flashlight, extra batteries, camera, binoculars, and insect repellant.


Your Responsibilities:  The person holding the reservation must accompany the group and be at least 18 years of age. There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. There is a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. There are trash cans/dumpsters in the adjacent campground. We ask that you bring trash bags to take your RECYCLABLE'S back with you. We also ask that appliances be turned off, no water be left running, and the cabin is left "clean as a whistle," just like you found it or better, ready for the next occupants! Cleaning tools and supplies are provided for your convenience. This campground and cabin area is frequented by black bears. Please keep all food and scented items in the closed/locked cabin or inside your vehicle when unattended. Pets and smoking are not allowed inside the cabin.


Reservations:  Reservations for the cabin should be made through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) 1-877-444-6777 or www.reserveUSA.com.


Getting There:  From Highway 99 turn west on 190. Travel on 190 through Springville to Wishon Drive (County Road M-208). Turn left on Wishon Drive and travel approximately 4 miles. The cabin is at the entrance into Wishon Campground on the right side of the road. Driving time from Springville is approximately 20-30 minutes.
