Fishing - Rivers and Streams

Listed below are rivers and streams that anglers may find of interest on the Sequoia National Forest and Giant Sequoia National Monument. The list is not inclusive of all angling opportunities as most year-around streams have sport fish. Clicking on a selection will provide information on fish species present, access, nearby campgrounds, and any special considerations regarding the site. The rivers drain peaks rising over 13,000 feet in elevation and may have prolonged spring runoff that makes angling difficult and dangerous. Streams draining higher areas are usually fishable by mid/late June. During years with heavy snow pack, these dates may be extended back a month or more.
