The Vista Fire Restoration Project is a proposal to restore old forest conditions within the 420 acres burned by the Vista Fire in 2007. It consists of salvage harvesting dead and dying trees on about 130 acres on the Kern Plateau, planting trees on approximately 90 acres of the burned area, and removing hazard trees from about 3 miles of roadway.
