Piute Fire Reforestation and Wildlife Habitat Improvement Project

printerPrintable Version

This project involves reforestation and habitat improvements associated with the Piute Fire that burned in 2008. Under natural succession this area will experience a delay in returning to a forested condition, and may be brush fields for decades. The purpose of this project is to re-establish forested conditions with areas that burned with high burn severity through reforestation treatments. Areas would be reforested with tree species native to the ecological habitat type.
