Bearskin Diabetic Youth Camp Renovation
The Bearskin Diabetic Youth Camp Renovation Project was designed to allow renovation of the Bearskin Diabetic Youth Camp facilities on the Hume Lake Ranger District. The purpose of this project is to replace and/or upgrade the infrastructure including bathroom facilities, septic system, medical headquarters, sleeping decks, staff accommodations and dining hall to better meet current health and safety standards. The proposed renovations would allow the Diabetic Youth Foundation, under their organization camp permit authorization, to maximize and improve the functional capacity of the camp within the footprint of the existing camp facilities, while increasing the adaptability to meet current and future needs of those affected by diabetes.
