CONDITIONS OF USE

1. Your signature as party leader affirms that the following conditions for a non-commercial permit have been met.

A. There is a bona fide sharing of expenses by everyone.
B. There are no fees collected in excess of the actual cost of the trip.
C. There is no financial gain by any member of the group.
D. Trip expenditures do not include any payment of salaries.
E. No charge is collected for use of the equipment.
F. There is no direct mail or media advertising.
G. Each party leader must carry their permit and display upon request of any authorized official.

2. Prior to your launch, an "Accurate and Legible" KERN RIVER DAILY USE MANIFEST (Forest Service Form #13-2360) must be left at the designated drop off point for the Forks Run. If not completed properly, you will be in violation of your permit.

3. A California campfire permit is required for any wood fire, charcoal fire or portable gas stove, along the river during fire season.

4. A shovel and a fire pan are required on the Forks Run.

5. Overnight camping down at the Forks of the Kern is within the Golden Trout Wilderness and a visitor permit is required.

6. A human waste carry-out system should be carried on each trip. Metal ammo boxes and trash bags have been approved for this purpose.

7. A Coast Guard approved personal flotation device must be readily accessible, properly fit, and in good condition, for each member of the party.

8. All Federal, state and local laws and regulations must be observed.

9. The permit is issued to an individual and is non-transferable. I agree to abide by all laws, rules and regulations which apply to my permit.
