Are you looking for a student employee?
Important: The Student Temporary Experience Program (STEP) and Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) hiring authorities have been replaced by the new Pathways Program.
What does this mean? How will CC services to supervisors change?
Currently, the California Consortium (CC) is gearing up for summer 2013 by identifying potential supervisors and assessing their needs while adjusting to changes in the federal internship program. The Pathways Program has changed the way federal agencies can fill student employment positions. Subsequently, the CC will no longer manage an application and screening process for student internships. The CC program will now utilize USAJOBS, eRecruit, and follow regional and national direction to assist supervisors in filling student positions.
How the CC can help you!
The CC has already begun implementing CC successful best practices on outreach of diverse students using the new application process to continue to meet the mission and objectives of the CC Employment Program. In order to service students and accommodate supervisor needs, the CC will now focus on conducting recruitment for supervisors and assisting students with applications to Temp 1039 and Term open continuous positions in addition to Pathway internship positions. This will provide the CC with the flexibility to recruit throughout the year and supervisors the opportunity to hire a student using multiple hiring options anytime they have a need.
If you are a potential supervisor and would like the CC to assist you in creating a diverse and competitive applicant pool for your position, please complete the Recruitment Request form below.
