How do I use the site lists? Select a forest name from the "quick links" below. Scroll down the list looking for the site name(s). The graphic symbols describe the type of site (campground, picnic area, etc).

Note: Site listings and Maps for some forests continue to be edited. changes in policy for where fees may be required are not immediately posted on this website. If in doubt, call ahead to the nearest Forest office.

Map Symbol Colors
Graphic showing a picnic table. Brown symbols – A standard amenity fee is required, which may be paid by displaying any Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful Interagency Passport on the parked vehicle.
Graphic showing tent symbol on pink background.Graphic showing skiier on blue background. Pink & Blue symbols – An expanded amenity or special use fee is required. These sites may be managed by the Forest Service, a concessionaire or special use permittee. These fees are usually paid on-site.
Yellow rectangle with orange border. High Impact Recreation Areas – You will find these areas designated on the maps. They are separately listed by name at the following link: High Impact Recreation Areas. Recreationists must display either an Adventure Pass or Interagency Pass on their parked vehicles in these areas, unless other fees apply (see site lists below).
Map Symbol Definitions
Graphic showing a tent. Family Campground –If the campground symbol is pink the site requires a separate camping fee, and on-site fee payment facilities are usually provided. Interagency Senior & Access Passes apply a 50% discount on the camping fees. If the symbol is brown, any Adventure Pass orInteragency Pass may be used for payment of the camping fee. In Forest Service operated campgrounds, any Adventure Pass or Interagency Pass may be used to pay for a day-use fee – time limits are posted. Important – Camping Fees must be paid within 30 minutes of arrival at these sites.
