CA_USGSQuad24k00_5 - (ctrillo, fs & cclark, gd]
Determined that the projection for CA_USGSQuad24k00_4 was off a bit, 100+ meters. Copied the original r5q24k00_4 COVERAGE from CALCOVS Coverage Library Backup DVD for November 6, 2006 to C:\Working. Exported the r5q24k00_4 polygon layer to a Geodatabase (single) - feature class. Projected the quad feature class from Albers NAD 27 to Albers NAD83.
CA_USGSQuad24k00_4 - (tlindemann, GD)
7/2004 - Coverage converted to feature class and projected to NAD 83.
This coverage was created from R5_QUAD_INDEX layer found in CALCOVS. The previous layer was modified in order to create a baseline dataset that can be used for constructing forest quad-extent boundaries. Modifications were conducted as follows:
- extraneous tics were deleted
- AAT was dropped (contained no attributes)
- arcs were generalized at 12,000 m in order to remove midpoint vertices
along quad boundary lines (midpoints indicate quater-quad intersections)
- nodes (quad corners) were adjusted by snapping to tics in CALTICS00_1

- added yes/no item "Forest" indicating intersection with National Forest
