Primitive camps are located along the lakes and at other locations throughout the wilderness. No mechanized or motorized equipment can be used in the Wilderness Area.

[Photograph]: Long Lake.It is about a 30 to 45 minute hike to Square Lake from the Ides Cove trailhead. Long Lake is another 45 minutes along the trail. The Ides Cove trailhead is 60 miles west of Red Bluff (approximately 2.5 hour drive) at 6500' elevation. A Forest and/or wilderness map would be very helpful in finding the trailhead and the correct trail to these lakes.
