Meeks Bay Campground is generally open Memorial Day weekend through the end of October. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov.

Meeks Bay is a National Forest campground operated by a private concessionaire, California Land Management and may be reserved up to 180 days prior to the first day of the reservation.

Setting Located along the west shore of Lake Tahoe, Meeks Bay Campground is a National Forest campground operated by a private concessionaire, California Land Management.   
Directions

Meeks Bay Campground is located on Highway 89 approximately 10 miles south of Tahoe City.  It is situated between Sugar Pint Point and D. L. Bliss State Parks.

Max. Group Size Per Site 6 people and 1 vehicle; please park your vehicles in the designated camping spots only. Additional vehicles will be charged $5 per car.

BBQ's & Rings Standing BBQ's and fire rings at all sites; please use fire areas provided at each campsite and do not build additional fire rings.  Remember, only collect dead and down wood in the nearby forest for your fires and before leaving your campsite make sure your fire is "Dead Out."  Help prevent forest fires!
Boat Ramp The closest boat ramp is at Meeks Bay Resort. 
Swimming/Wading Yes
Pets Pets are allowed on a leash in the campground area but not on the beach.
Fees $23 per night with an additional $5 fee for each extra vehicle. Please follow the payment instructions posted at the campground entrance.  To let others know your campsite is occupied, we suggest  leaving something out like a tablecloth.

Season of Use Generally open Memorial Day weekend through the end of October.
Services Contact the campground host in case of emergency.  Medical, dental, and optical services are available in either Tahoe City or South Lake Tahoe.  Tahoe Forest Hospital (Tahoe City) and Barton Memorial Hospital (South Lake Tahoe) offer 24-hour emergency care and they are fully staffed. Groceries, fuel, laundry and other services are available in the near-by communities of Tahoma or Homewood.  
Special Attractions Meeks Bay is uniquely situated between the two California State Parks of Sugar Point Park and D.L. Bliss.  There is also easy access into Desolation Wilderness for excellent hiking.
