Operating out of Chester, California, (530) 258-2141, the airbase supplies air support for wildland fires providing Air Tactical (Air Attack), Aerial delivery of Fire Retardant, and Helitack.

The Helitack Crew

An 18 person, rappel qualified firefighting crew works with the helicopter, one firefighter onboard is also an Emergency Medical Technician.

A helitack truck (carrying gear) and a fuel truck provide ground support for the helicopter atall times.
