Snow Conditions

Hat Creek Ranger District:
On Saturday, March 14 groomers were out and took care of A1 through A-9, and L1 through L3. Groomers plan to be out grooming this weekend, depending upon weather.

Almanor Ranger District:
Trails in the Morgan area were not groomed this past week.

Eagle Lake Ranger District:
Swain Mountain Trail System: We have put all our energy into grooming this system to perfection and have groomed trails from Bogard to Swain.

Fredonyer Trail System:
The trail from Swain Mountain to Fredonyer Snowmobile Park was groomed today. Despite increasing temperature this week the snow is holding up and should be good for a few more rides before the end of the season.

View Forest Orders

Lassen National Forest has many types of outdoor recreation. Call the district office for more information on where you can operate your wheeled vehicle. Visitors are reminded that snowmobile traffic is not permitted in the Caribou Wilderness, Thousand Lakes Wilderness and in Lassen Volcanic National Park.
