Location: From Ft. Jones follow the Scott River
Road approximately 14 miles to Indian Scotty Campground, located
at the 2,400 foot elevation.
Opportunities
Indian Scotty is located on the Scott River. The campground
has horseshoe pits for visitor use.
Hiking
This site is located on the access road to Lover's Camp, Box Camp
and Paradise Lake trailheads which access the Marble Mountain Wilderness.
There are some good day hikes from these trailheads.
Fishing
The Scott River, running next to the campground offers trout and
steelhead fishing opportunities. Rafting
The Scott River is a Wild and Scenic
River and offers good rafting and kayaking
in the spring. Tubing and swimming
are enjoyed in the summer. Barrier-free
Facilities
"Usable" facilities allow
significant access, yet some individuals
may have difficulty and need assistance.
