Location: Located fifteen minutes from Interstate 5 on Highway 96. On the banks of the Klamath River at an elevation of 2,100 feet.

Opportunities

River Access

This site has great river access.  The boat launch is usable by persons with disabilities.  The Gottville river access, 6 miles down river, has the same accessibility.

Birding

There is a Birding Nature Trail in the campground.  It is 1/4 mile paved, accessible trail with interpretive signs on migratory and local birds of the Klamath Mountains.

Fishing

The Klamath River has year round trout and seasonal steelhead and salmon fishing.

Day Use

There is a large day use area with horseshoe pits and volleyball.   There is no charge for the day use area. There is an open-pit BBQ area also.  The BBQ area may be reserved.  There is a reservation fee of $20 and reservations are recommended to insure availability.

Rafting

Tree of Heaven Campground is located near a wonderful stretch of the Klamath River with several beaches and  Class 2, 2+ and 3 rapids.  Please follow this link for a proximity map showing the location of the campground.

Barrier-free Facilities

"Usable" facilities allow significant access, yet some individuals may have difficulty and need assistance.
