The Mammoth Basin Nordic Backcountry Patrol is a non-profit organization that helps provide a safe, quality experience to the wintering public in and around Mammoth Lakes California. As members of the National Ski Patrol, we take great pride in our commitment to public service and we place strong emphasis on safety awareness, as well as encouraging responsible environment usage. Our Patrollers are able to provide on-the-spot medical skills to those injured, lost or suffering from the winter environment. Nordic members are also available for search & rescue missions, as needed, in partnership with other agencies. For volunteering information, please visit the Mammoth Basin Patrol website.

Eastern Sierra Stewardship Corps

The Eastern Sierra Stewardship Corp calendar of events and trips includes a variety of service trips to protect and restore wilderness and front-country areas on the Inyo National Forest.

Golden Trout Project

Trout Unlimited (TU), California Trout (CalTrout) and the Federation of Flyfishers (FFF) are assisting the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in a collaborative effort to protect and restore the California Golden Trout in the Inyo National Forest.
