An After Action Review
In September 2004, Fire and Aviation Mangement staffs from the Pacific Southwest Region were charged with the preparation of a somewhat non-traditional After Action Review Report (AAR). This report, although not exclusively founded upon the recommendations made by the Governor's Blue Ribbon Fire Commission, finds its initial basis there. The report expands upon the Commission's recommendations by discussing the lessons we, The USDA Forest Service, have learned, as well as recounting our numerous successes.
