The Story 2003

In October of 2003, Southern California experienced the most devasting wildland fire disaster in state history. It is in the spirit of interagency cooperation that a team was established to chronicle the Fire Siege of 2003. This report is a result of this team's effort.

The file is very large and is available in its original format, and broken into more manageable pieces for downloading.

Fire season statistics are still being tabulated and sorted. Final season figures may differ somewhat from the numbers available at the time this document was published.
