Bear 5,200' open 7 Sites Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. Trash pick up is not available, so please help by taking your trash out with you.  Location: From Interstate 5 in Castaic, turn northeast on Lake Hughes Rd. and drive 27 miles to the town of Lake Hughes. Location: From Interstate 210 in La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2) and drive approx. 9 1/2 miles north to Switzer's Picnic Area. Big Rock Creek Recreation Area 5,000'     No longer a campground - day use only. Vault toilets -  RV's to 20', no overnight camping. Adventure Pass required for vehicles. Forest Service map essential. 
Location: From Highway 138 in Pearblossom, CA, turn south on Longview Rd.  Turn left on Valyermo Rd. and drive past the ranger station. Turn right on Big Rock Rd. and continue up the canyon past the South Fork Camp. Drive past Camp Fenner to the campground entrance road on the right. Blue Ridge 8,000' Open May-Nov. 8 Sites Blue Ridge Road is closed for the winter season, and campground is walk-in only. No piped water. Vault toilets -  RV's to 20'.  Sites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. The Pacific Crest Trail runs right beside the camp. Location: From Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2),  approx. 5 miles west of Wrightwood, take Blue Ridge Road 3 miles to the campground.  Groceries and services available in the community of  Wrightwood. Buckhorn 6,300' Closed for the winter November 15 through March 31, snow permitting opening on that date or as soon as possible thereafter. 38 Sites Be Aware of Bear Activity.  When open, provides piped water. Vault toilets. Campground fee is charged. 2 vehicles maximum per campsite. Parking 2nd vehicle is included in campsite fee. Sites are first-come, first-served, no reservations. Location: From Interstate 210 in the city of La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy 2) and drive northeast for 36 miles to the signed campground on the left. Cabin Flat 5,300' CLOSED at present time to all but walk-in campers, mountain bikes and equestrians 12 Sites Closed except for walk-in campers, mountain bikes and equestrians until further notice to protect the Mountain Yellow Legged Frog (listed as a sensitive species).  No water. Vault toilet. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked along road. Campsites are first come - first served. Location: From Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2), approximately 1.5 miles west of Big Pines, take Blue Ridge Road 5 miles to Guffy Campground, then walk in another 6 miles to Cabin Flat. The road is a rough dirt road - after the first 5 miles a four-wheel drive is required. Groceries and services available in the community of  Wrightwood (approximately 9.5 miles). Chilao Recreation Area 5,300' Closed for the winter November 15 through March 31, snow permitting opening on that date or as soon as possible thereafter. 111 Sites Be Aware of Bear Activity. No water in picnic area. April 1 to November 14, $12.00 per site, Little Pines Loop is open, Manzanita Loop is open, and Meadow Loop is closed indefinitely to protect biological and archaeological resources. Vault toilets (5 accessible for visitors with disabilities). Campsites are first come - first served.  Visitor Center is closed indefinitely. Phones. RV's to 28' (one site for 36').  Pacific Crest Trail accessible from Three Points, 3 miles north of the campground on Hwy. 2. Parking available at Three Points trailhead (Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required at trailhead). San Gabriel Wilderness area is accessible by trails at Three Points and Devil's Canyon. Devil's Canyon Trailhead is located 0.20 miles south of the Chilao Visitor Center on Hwy. 2. Mountain bikes are not allowed on the Pacific Crest Trail or in the San Gabriel Wilderness. Cooper Canyon Trail Camp 6,600' Open year-round but may have deep snow in the winter 6 Sites Hike-in only. Devore Trail Camp 3,000' Open year-round 6 Sites Hikers, bikes or equestrian use only. Campsites are first come - first served. No water, no toilets.  Campfire Permit is required, and may be obtained at any Forest Service office. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at trailhead. Location:   From Interstate 210 in La Canada, take the Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2) approximately 14 miles to the Red Box Saddle. Glenn Trail Camp 2,000' Open year-round 10 Sites Open. Facilities are accessible to visitors using wheelchairs. Walk or bike in only, except for physically challenged groups who may obtain a permit to drive to the campground. Permits are available through the Glendora office - call (626) 335-1251. Located approx. 6 1/2 miles behind a locked gate. Stream water (treat before using). Vault toilets. This is a non-fee campground, although an Adventure Pass is required for parking outside the camp and at the trailhead. The road leading to the campground is a designated National Scenic Bikeway. Native trout fishing area; catch and keep from the gate to the second bridge - catch and release from second bridge upstream to Cogswell Reservoir. Several accessible fishing platforms provided. Location: From Interstate 210 in Azusa, exit Azusa Ave. Drive 12 miles north on San Gabriel Can. Rd. (Hwy. 39) to the trailhead at the West Fork of the San Gabriel River. Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. Three hitching rails. Location: Accessible by the Gabrielino National Recreation Trail. From Interstate 210 in La Canada, take Windsor Ave. Turn right on Windsor to Ventura St. and park. Take the Gabrielino Trail 2 miles to the campground. OR from Interstate 210 exit at the Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2) and head north about 2 miles. Guffy 8,300' Open May-Nov. 6 Sites Blue Ridge Road is closed for the winter, and this campground is walk-in only. Primitive tent camping site overlooking the Sheep Mountain Wilderness Area. No water. Vault toilets. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. Campsites are first come - first served.  Location: Located on Blue Ridge Road 6 miles from the intersection of Blue Ridge Rd. and Angeles Crest Highway (the intersection is 1.5 miles west of Big Pines).  The road into the campground is a rough dirt road - after the first 5 miles a four-wheel drive is required. Little Jimmy Trail Camp 7,500' Open year-round but may have deep snow in the winter. 16 Sites Hike-in only. Spring water (treat before using) - however, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. Parking available approximately 2 miles down the road at Cedar Springs. Location: From Interstate 210 in La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Hwy. (Hwy. 2) and drive 41 miles north. Cross the highway and pick up the Pacific Crest Trail leading east. Follow the trail 2 miles. Or - from Interstate 210 in Azusa, exit Azusa Ave. (Hwy. 39. Drive 25 miles north on on San Gabriel Can. Rd. (Hwy. 39) to the Crystal Lake entrance. Park in the large dirt clearing to the right just before the locked gate. Hike in from Crystal Lake - 3 miles. Los Alamos 2,600' Open year-round 93 Sites Concessionaire operated. $12.00 per day per site. Piped water. Flush toilets. Camp store. Potable water and dump station free to overnight guests. RV's to 26". Group campsites available.  Location: Adjacent to Interstate 5, 20 miles north of Valencia. Take Smokey Bear exit, drive west and follow signs to campground. This is the closest campground to Pyramid Lake, although the campground is NOT located on the lake. A boat launch ramp is located at the lake. Top

Manker Flats 6,000' Open 21 Sites When the campground is open, it provides piped water and flush toilets. RV's to 16'. Camping - $12.00 per night per site, $4.00 for extra vehicle. Day use - $5 per vehicle.  For campers with a valid Adventure Pass, camping fee is $10.00, and $3.00 for extra vehicles. Adventure Pass will be honored for day use. Campsites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked outside campground. Located near historic Mt. Baldy Schoolhouse and Visitor Center in the Mt. Baldy Village. Location: From Foothill Blvd. in Claremont, take Mills Ave. until it turns into Mt. Baldy Road. Drive 12 miles north on Mt. Baldy Rd. passed Mt. Baldy Village to the campground. From Interstate 210 in La Canada exit at Angeles Crest Hwy. (Hwy. 2) and drive north for 9 miles. Turn left onto the Angeles Forest Hwy. (County Rd. N3) and drive approx. 12 miles to Mill Creek Summit. Turn left on Santa Clara Divide Rd. and continue 9 miles to the campground. Millard 1,900' Open year-round 5 Sites Trail camp, hike-in only. No water. Seasonal stream water may be available (treat before using), however, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall.  Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. The trail to Inspiration Point and San Gabriel Peak begins here. Millard Falls - best viewed in the winter and early spring - is approx. 1 mile from the campground. Location: From Interstate 210 in  Pasadena, exit Lake Ave. and go north to Loma Alta Dr.  Turn west (left) on Loma Alta and drive to the Chaney Trail (flashing yellow light). Location: From Interstate 210 in Pasadena, exit the Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy. 2) and drive north for 9 miles. Turn left onto the Angeles Forest Highway (County Rd. N3) and drive about 9 miles to the campground. May also be reached from the Sunland area by taking Big Tujunga Canyon Rd. and turning left at the Angeles Forest Highway, or taking the Angeles Forest Highway from the Palmdale area. Location: From Interstate 210 in  Pasadena, exit Lake Ave. and go north to Loma Alta Dr.  Turn west (left) on Loma Alta and drive to the Chaney Trail (flashing yellow light). Mount Pacifico 7,100' Closed for the winter Nov 15-May 15, snow permitting opening on that date or as soon as possible thereafter. 7 Sites CLOSED.  This campground has no water. Campsites are first come - first served. Vault toilets. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. The Pacific Crest Trail passes 1/2 mile north down slope of the campground. Not RV accessible.  Location: From Interstate 210 in Pasadena, exit the Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy.2) and drive north for 9 miles. Turn left onto the Angeles Forest Hwy. (County Rd. N3) and drive about 12 miles to the intersection with Santa Clara Dive Rd. at Mill Creek Summit (there is a sign). Turn right and drive about 6 miles to the signed gate. Turn left and take the dirt road for 4 miles to the campground. The gate is locked in the winter when the road is impassable. Walk in at that time. May also be reached from the Sunland area by taking Big Tujunga Canyon Rd. and turning left at the Angeles Forest Highway, or taking the Angeles Forest Highway from the Palmdale area. Continue past the Forest Service Ranger Station. Approximately 1/4 mile after you cross the bridge, turn right - approximately 2 miles to campground. (road #4N11A). From South Fork Campground one has access to many hiking trails - one of which leads to the nearby Devil's Punchbowl County Park, another to Vincent's Gap. Sulphur Springs Trail Camp 5,000' Open year-round but may have deep snow in the winter. 6 Sites Hikers and equestrian use only. Campsites are first come - first served. Stream water (treat before using)—however, waterflow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Vault toilets. Campsites are first come—first served. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at the trailhead.   Location: From Interstate 210in La Canada exit Angeles Crest Hwy, (Hwy 2) and drive 29 miles to the intersection of the Santa Clara Divide Rd (Rd # 3N17) and Hwy 2 at Three Points, turn left and go 100 yards to the trailhead parking lot on the left. The Pacific Crest Trail crosses the road at the west end of the parking lot take the section going north 2.0 miles to the trail camp.
Sycamore Flats 4,200' Open year-round 11 Sites Open as long as weather permits. Piped water turned off during winter months. Vault toilets.  RV's to 18'. Campsites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required.  Location: From Highway 138 in Pearblossom, CA, turn south on Longview Rd. Turn left on Ave. W - this becomes Valyermo Rd. Continue past Forest Service Ranger Station. Table Mountain 7,200' Open 115 Sites Operated by Concessionaire. Angeles National Forest  2.) Big Pines Recreation Area  3.) Wrightwood, CA  4.) Name of Campground. (Reservations may be made May - Nov.). Tables,  piped water during summer months, vault toilets, RV's to 32'.   Location: Located on Table Mountain Road, one mile from Big Pines, CA. Table Mountain Road is a paved two-lane road, easily accessible by most vehicles. From I-15 near Cajon, take Highway 138 west. Turn left (west) on Angeles Crest Highway and drive 5 miles to Wrightwood. Continue for 3 miles to Big Pines. Turn right on Table Mountain Rd. and drive 1 mile to the campground. Tom Lucas Trail Camp 2,900' Open year-round 2 Sites Stream water (treat before using)- however, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Hike-in only. No toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at trailhead. Location: Located along the Trail Canyon Trail. From Interstate 210 in Sunland, exit at Sunland Blvd. and go east to Oro Vista (Sunland Blvd. becomes Foothill Blvd.), then north to Big Tujunga Canyon Rd. to Trail Canyon. Upper Shake 4,400' Open May-Dec. 18 Sites No water, vault toilet. RV's to 22'. Campsites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. Easy access to the Pacific Crest Trail, which passes nearby. Location: From Castaic, take Lake Hughes Rd. northeast 27 miles to the town of Lake Hughes. Turn Left (northwest) on Pine Canyon Rd. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at trailhead. Location: From Interstate 210 in La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Hwy. West Fork 3,100' Open year-round 7 Sites Hikers, bikes or equestrian use only - closed to motor vehicles. No water.  Vault toilets. Campsites are first come - first served. Campfire Permit is required, and may be obtained at any Forest Service office. Interagency Pass or Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at trailhead. The Gabrielino and Silver Moccasin National Recreation Trails intersect just south of the camp.  Location: From Interstate 210 in La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Hwy. (Hwy.2) and drive north 14 miles to the Red Box Station. Park there, and walk through the gate on the Redbox-Rincon Rd. (not paved) and hike in about 5miles to the campground.
