Level 2
Very high to extreme fire
indices were reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada,
New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
Strong high pressure building
over the Four Corners area will bring mostly sunny skies to the Great Basin.
Western Colorado can expect mostly sunny skies with a few thunderstorms in
the southwest portion of the state. High temperatures will be 90 to 105 degrees.Scattered
thundershowers are expected in the mountains of New Mexico and eastern Arizona.
High temperatures will be in the 80's in the mountains, and 105 to 115 in
the deserts. A strong high pressure ridge is building over California. Sunny
skies are expected over most of the state with patchy fog and low clouds
along the coastal areas. High temperatures will be in the 70's along the
coast, 90 to 100 degrees in the valleys, and 105 to 115 degrees in the deserts.

One large fires reached
containment in southern California. Very high to extreme fire indices were
reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico,
and Utah.
A strong high pressure ridge will presist over
the Eastern Great Basin. Light local slope/valley winds will occur
across most of the area. The warming trend will result in high temperatures
near record levels this weekend. Aternoon humidities in the single digits
with poor moisture recoveries developing at night. Monsoonal moisture is
expected to return early next week to at least the southern half of the Great
Basin.

One new large fires
was reported in New Mexico and one was contained in New Mexico. Very high
to extreme fire indices were reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho,
Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
Drier conditions will
prevail over Arizona, New Mexico and southern California due to high pressure
moving west over the area. Eastern Arizona and New Mexico will have partly
cloudy skies with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Western Arizona and southern
California will be sunny. High temperatures will be in the 80's and 90's,
except for 100 to 110 in the lower elevation deserts of southern California
and southwest Arizona.

One new large fires was
reported in New Mexico and two fires were contained, one in Montana and one
in Idaho. Very high to extreme fire indices were reported in Arizona, California,
Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
A high pressure system
over the desert Southwest will move a little further west which will reduce
the amount of moisture moving into Arizona, New Mexico and all but northwest
Utah. This will create partly cloudy skies, with lingering moisture bringing
scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the 80's
to 90's. Southern California, southern Nevada and northwest Utah will be
under a dry southwest flow bringing sunny skies. High temperatures will be
in the 80's and 90's in the valleys and 100 to 105 in the desert areas of
California and Nevada. A cool, moist Pacific trough will continue over northern
California, northwest Nevada and southern Idaho bringing partly to mostly
cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms decreasing by late
afternoon. High temperatures will be in the 70's to lower 80's.

Six new large fires
were reported, three in New Mexico, one in Montana and two in Idaho. Four
large fires were reported as contained, two in
California, one in New
Mexico and one in Idaho. Very high to extreme fire indices were reported
in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah
and Wyoming.
A high pressure system
over the Southwest will continue to bring warm moist air to Arizona, New Mexico
and Utah. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and
thunderstorms, with some thunderstorms producing locally heavy rain in New
Mexico and southwest Utah. High temperatures will be in the 80's to mid 90's.
A cool, moist Pacific trough will continue over California, Nevada and Idaho
bringing partly to mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms throughout
the area, except for southern Nevada and the lower elevations of southern
California where it will be dry. Locally heavy rain is possible in northern
California. High temperatures will be in the 80's in the northern valleys,
and 100 to 105 in the southern deserts.

One new large fire was
reported in California. Two large fires reached containment, one in California
and one in Nevada. Very high to extreme fire conditions were reported in
Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, New Mexico, Utah,
and Wyoming. A Pacific trough over California and western Nevada will bring
partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few mountain showers or thunderstorms
over the Sierra Nevada range. High temperatures will be in the 80's, except
for 90 to 105 in the southern California deserts. The approach of the Pacific
trough will keep a slightly moist air mass over eastern and southern Nevada
and Utah bringing partly cloudy skies with isolated afternoon thunderstorms.
High temperatures will be 80 to 95. The Pacific trough will bring more moisture
to southeast Idaho. High temperatures will be 70 to 85. A moist southerly
flow around a high pressure system will continue over Arizona and New Mexico
bringing variable cloudiness, scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures
will be in the 80's to mid 90's and 100 to 105 in the southern Arizona deserts.

A trough moving inland from the Pacific will bring strong winds to southeast Idaho. High temperatures will be 75 to 85 degrees. the approach of the Pacific trough has dried out much of western Utah, creating mostly sunny skies and windy conditions. High temperatures will be from 85 to 89 degrees. The Pacific trough will be over California and Nevada bring mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be no warmer than 90, except for 105 to 110 in the southern Nevada deserts. Moisture flowing around the high pressure will continue to bring some afternoon showers and thunderstorms to Arizona, and New Mexico. Very high to extreme fire conditions were reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
The western states remain
under a high pressure system that will keep things sunny, hot and dry.California
will have high temperatures in the 60's and 70's along the coast, in the
80's to lower 90's in the high mountains, 95 to 105 in the central valley,
and 105 to 112 in the southeastern deserts. Enough moisture still resides
over New Mexico and southeast Arizona creating isolated afternoon and evening
thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the 80's and 90's, and 100 to
112 in the deserts. Nevada and Utah will have high temperatures in the mid
80's and 90's, except for 110 to 115 in southern Nevada.

continues over Arizona and most of New Mexico. There is enough moisture over
New Mexico and southeast Arizona for some isolated afternoon and evening
thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the 80's and 90's, and 102 to
113 in the deserts. Nevada and Utah are under the same high pressure. Temperatures
