Hiking and Horseback Riding

There are hundreds of miles of trails on the Manti-La Sal National Forest from open grassy slopes to deep spruce/fir groves. The Forest has two National Recreation Trails: The Left Fork of Huntington Canyon Trail and The Fish Creek Trail.

The Left Fork of Huntington Canyon Trail:
This 6-mile trail is open to foot and horse travel only and provides access to quality fly-fishing opportunities.

The Fish Creek Trail:
This 10-mile trail is open to foot, horse, and bicycle travel.

Trails are often designated as either motorized or non-motorized (which includes bicycles). Forest Travel maps indicate the appropriate type of use.
