Mountain and Road Biking

Biking is available on numerous trails, and on paved and dirt roads. Local bike shops in the areas can provide guide services, guide books, ride suggestions and information. Maps and information about the forest are available at Visitor Centers and local shops.

The La Sal Mountain Loop Road Scenic Byway (paved to the Oowah Lake turn-off) climbs high in the La Sal Mountains. This road ride provides spectacular views of Canyonlands and Castle Valley. The grades leading onto the Forest are long, steep, and can be hot during the summer.
