Occupancy and Use - Order Number 04-10-02

This order is to provide an acceptable recreation experience and safer environment for all forest visitors/users, minimize livestock distribution; manage the number of dogs, noise level, dog feces and urine, and resource damage in all developed and dispersed areas ofthe Manti-La Sal National Forest.

Buckeye Reservoir Recreation Area Closure

The Buckeye Reservoir Recreation Area is scheduled to undergo some big changes this summer. Due to the hazards of construction activity and heavy equipment traffic, the Manti-La Sal National Forest will close the area this camping season in the interest of public health and safety. Read the news release for additional information and for some alternatives on where to camp around the reservoir
