Tahoe Meadows Snowmobiling Off Mt. Rose Highway, Lake Tahoe, Nevada

OSV AreaSnowmobiling is allowed on the North side of Hwy 431. The South side is designated for non-motorized activities. To access the main snowmobile area, ride from the staging area to service road 051. Follow this road northwest to the 1,000-acre riding area. Heed speed limit signs and watch for snow players to avoid possible accidents. Once through the snow play area you are free to ride up to the meadows and other snowmobile areas. Along the way watch for cross-country skiers and snowshoers, be sure to stop your motor and let them pass. Wilderness AreaMotorized vehicles are NOT allowed in Wilderness Areas. Tahoe Meadows connects to the Mount Rose Wilderness. Signs are posted along the wilderness boundaries. Heed the signs and stay out of these areas. Responsible riding and following the rules will help to keep OSV areas open. |
