The campground is located near a vital waterfowl nesting area, and beneath the snow-covered Ruby Mountains. The area is covered with springs, meadows, and grasslands.

Some sites can be reserved through www.recreation.gov or toll free at 877-444-6777. Reservations must be made at least 4 days before arrival.
