Located at the foot of the Quinn Canyon Wilderness. It is a rustic and mostly undeveloped campground in the middle of a pinyon-juniper forest.

Directions
This area is located is located 3 hours southwest of Ely:
- Take US highway 6, 23 miles south of Ely.
- Turn onto State highway 318 and drive south 41 miles to Sunnyside (Wayne E. Kirsch Wildlife Preserve).
- Turn onto an improved gravel and dirt road and drive 45 miles west. Look for Cherry Creek signs along the way.
