Cherry Creek Campground

Located at the foot of the Quinn Canyon Wilderness. It is a rustic and mostly undeveloped campground in the middle of a pinyon-juniper forest.

  • Sunnyside swimming area on BLM, the Quinn Canyon , and Grant Range Wildernesses are all located near this campground.

Directions

This area is located is located 3 hours southwest of Ely:

  1. Take US highway 6, 23 miles south of Ely.
  2. Turn onto State highway 318 and drive south 41 miles to Sunnyside (Wayne E. Kirsch Wildlife Preserve).
  3. Turn onto an improved gravel and dirt road and drive 45 miles west. Look for Cherry Creek signs along the way.
