Bob Scott Campground

The Bob Scott Campground is located East of Austin and is nestled among pinyon-juniper trees.

Facilities

  • Drinking water
  • 2 flush toilets and 1 no-flush toilet
  • Gas/mini-marts/dining/motels available in Austin
Sites

There are 10 sites:

9 for tent or RV (up to 35 feet) sites

1 group site (up to 50)

Reservations

Advance reservations are not available for single campsites.

To make advanced group site reservations, call the Austin Ranger Station to confirm date(s) then send a check made out to USDA Forest Service for $25.00.

Activities

Fishing (Birch Creek, 8 miles away), mountain-and-motorized bike trails (across US 50 just south of the campground entrance and at Austin Summit), hiking, and picnicking.

Directions

Follow US 50 East to approximately six miles east of Austin off the Bob Scott Summit.
