Big Creek Campground
Surrounded by water birch, cottonwood, and Russian olive trees at the mouth of a canyon along a creek.

- No electricity or drinking water (water from creek may be used after boiling or filtering)

Sites
There are six sites:
- 5 tent or RV (up to 35 feet) sites
- 1 group site (up to 50)
Reservations
Advance reservations are not available for single campsites.
To make advanced group site reservations, call the Austin Ranger Station to confirm date(s) then send a check made out to USDA Forest Service for $25.00.
Activities
Fishing, mountain-and-motorized bike trails, Dry Canyon Overlook Road, hunting, hiking, and picnicking.
Additional Information
Trailers are prohibited from crossing the top of Forest Service Road 002.

Directions
Big Creek Campground is located about one mile west of Austin. Elevation is 6,600 feet.
- Take US 50 West. Approximately one mile from Austin, take the Big Creek Campground turnoff.
- Continue south for 12 miles on Forest Service Road 002.
