Good hunting, fishing, hiking and spectacular scenery is in the area. Winter activities in this area include ice fishing and snowmobiling. Kents Lake is approximately 50 acres in size and suitable for small fishing boats and canoes. Brown, brook and rainbow trout are catchable from a small boat or from the shoreline. Vegetation in the area consists mainly of aspen and fir. Location: Kents Lake Campground is located approximately 15 miles southeast of Beaver. Driving time is about one hour. To reach this campground, travel east on paved State Road #153 for ten miles, then travel southeast for five miles on graveled Forest Road #137. Elevation: 8,800 feet Season: Generally June through October Fees: Camping fee is $10.00 single-family unit, $16.00 multiple family unit. Reservations: Reserved camping is not available. Sites are open on a first come first serve basis. Camping limit is 14 consecutive days. Facilities: Kents Lake Campground has 28 single-family campsites and 2 multiple-family campsites. Sites vary from back-in to pull throughs and will accommodate trailers from 24 to 60 feet long. All units have grills and/or fire rings and tables. Drinking water is available throughout the campground. There are chemical toilets and an old rock building used for programs or shelter. No electrical hookups or dump stations are available. Nearest dump station is located in Beaver. ATV: There is NO ATV access to this campground. ATV(s) must be trailered to the trailheads.
