Spruces Campground

Spruces Campground on the shores of Navajo Lake, provides a spectacular setting for boating, camping, fishing, wildlife viewing, and photography. . Take advantage of several outstanding hiking and biking trails or just relax and enjoy the cool, crisp mountain air.

ELEVATION:
9,200 feet
LOCATION:
25 miles east of Cedar City on Highway U-14, then take the Navajo Lake Road 2.5 miles wewst and south
FACILITIES:
- Camping - 23 single units, 6 tent units, 2 double units
- Culinary water from a developed spring
- Fire ring and table at each unit
- 3 flush toilets
- Asphalt roads
- Garbage - central bins
- Handicap accessible
- Accommodates RV's up to 24 feet in length
- No boat ramp
ATTRACTIONS:
- The campground is located on the shore of Navajo Lake with excellent fishing and boating
- Commercial boat rental and launching is available at Behmer Lodge and Landing, and at the Navajo Lake Lodge
- Excellent hiking and biking opportunities. A trail from the campground connects into the Virgin River Rim Trail, with fantastic views of the Virgin River Basin and Zion National Park
OPERATING SEASON:
The primary camping season runs from May 14, 2009 through September 20, 2009 with water available (weather permitting)
NOTE:
Due to the Spruce Bark Beetle epidemic, the campground has been groomed of all dead and infected spruce trees, thusly, shading is sparse.
FEES:
ATV POLICY:
This campground is closed to operating or unloading of ATV's. The entire Navajo Lake basin is closed to any and all ATV use. ATV's may be hauled into and out of the campgrounds on a trailer but not unloaded or ridden anywhere within the Navajo Lake basin.
