Pine Lake Recreation Area

Road in Pine Lake Campground
Pine Lake Recreation Area is located in mixed ponderosa pine and spruce. Pine Lake Reservoir lies to the southwest. Tent sites can accommodate trailers and motorhomes up to 45 feet in length. The campground loop is paved and the site spurs are gravelled. Two sites can accommodate 50-100 people each. John's Valley Group Site is 1/4 mile west of the main campground and is used to accommodate Boy Scouts and other groups. There is no garbage service. Please - Pack It In Pack It Out.

 


Directions to Pine Lake Recreation Area: Travel 13 miles east on Utah State Highway 12 from the junction at Highway 89; then travel 11 miles north on John's Valley Road (#22); then east 6 miles on Clay Creek Road(#132).


ELEVATION:Camping area beneath the pine trees

8,300 feet

FACILITIES:

-33 units - auto/tent and trailer units
-2 group sites with capacities of 50-100 each
-Drinking water near each site
-Fire pits
-Vault unit toilets
-OHV unloading ramp and access to OHV trails
-Accommodates trailers or RVs up to 45 feet in length

OPERATING SEASON:

The primary camping season is from May 19 through September 9, 2008

FEE:

$11.00 per night for single sites.
$45.00 per night for the Wild Iris, Yellow Pine, and Clay Creek Group sites
$45.00 for 1-50 people at the Johns Valley Group Site; $90.00 for 51-100 people at the Johns Valley Group Site

-Lake (no powerboats)
-Trailhead - The Great Western Trail, access to Powell Point Overlook and Henderson Canyon Trails
-Open ponderosa pine and spruce forest setting
-ATV trail access and unloading dock
