Cedar Canyon Campground is nestled in a picturesque forest of spruce, fir and aspen.

LOCATION:

13 miles east of Cedar City on Highway U-14

FACILITIES:

Group Camping at Cedar Canyon Campground

  • Camping: 12 single units, 5 double units, 1 group site
  • Culinary water piped from a nearby spring
  • Fire ring and table at each unit
  • Firewood for sale by campground concessionaire
  • 2 vault toilets
  • Central dumpster bins
  • Handicap accessible
  • Accommodates up to 24 foot RV length

ATTRACTIONS:

  • Stream adjacent to campground - non-fishable
  • Cedar Breaks National Monument nearby provides spectacular scenic views
  • Nearby archery range
  • A kids' fishing pond at county-owned Woods Ranch
  • The popular Virgin River Rim Trail, offering hiking, biking, and horseback riding opportunities and spectacular views of Zion National Park.

 

OPERATING SEASON:

The primary camping season is from May 21, 2009 through September 20, 2009 with water available. Most campgrounds remain partially open after Labor Day weekend; however, water and sanitation systems are closed to prevent freezing damage.

FEES:

 

ATV POLICY:

This campground is closed to operating or unloading of ATV's. ATV's may be hauled into and out of the campground on a trailer but not unloaded or ridden within the campground.
