Fire is located 26 miles east of Ashton, ID and approximately 20 miles northeast of Tetonia, ID. This fire is in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness, Teton County, Wyoming.

This fire is being managed as a Wildland Fire Use fire.

Wyoming Department of Fish and Game support this wildland fire use event for the benefits it will provide to wildlife  and their habitat.

Objectives of the WFU fire are being met.  Wildland fire is an essential natural process and is vital for the survival of many plants and animals.

A fire area closure is in effect. Please see the map and order below for more information along with trail closures.

Emergency Fire Area Closure is in effect.  The following trails are entirely or partially closed: #014 Hominy Peak, #059 Hidden Lake (trail is open from Coyote Meadows to Hidden Lake), #009 Conant Basin, #025 Junction of #025 and 009 eat to Carrot Knoll. Forest Service Road #034 Schneider Creek East (heading southeast off #264 Jackass Loop Road)
