Road Closures? www.511.idaho.gov

Outlook for July - October 2007:

  • Above normal fire potential for eastern Idaho.
  • Sparse winter rainfall, low snow pack and early snow melt will cause fuels in the higher elevation mountain areas of Idaho to become very receptive to ignition and spread of wildfires during the summer months.
  • Downed dead woody and live fuel moisture to be much lower than normal this time of year.
  • Below normal spring and early summer precipitation across the west will cause long-term drought to persist.
