Table Rock Group Campground

Located 21 miles from Idaho Falls on Hwy 26 (Ririe Hwy). Turn left on Heise Rd, go past Mountain River Ranch, and go right again after crossing the Snake River. Follow Signs to Kelly Canyon Ski Area, then take Forest Road 218 1 mile to the junction of FR 217, take middle fork and travel 1.25 miles down to the campground. 1 Group site is available, Reservations can be made at ReserveUSA.com, the fee is $35 for groups of 1-25 and $1/person thereafter.

Running water and restrooms are available. Site has picnic tables, fire rings, and barbeque grills. There are many hiking trails around the campground.

Table Rock Group Campground

Calamity Campground:

Location: From Palisades go 2.6 miles South on US Hwy 26; 1.1 miles Southwest on Forest Rd 058. 41 campsites, including 1 accessible, located on the Palisades Reservoir. Reservations can be made at ReserveUSA.com, the fee is $12/night single and $24/night double (maximum 16 people)

Wildlife viewing, fishing, trailheads, and Winter sports are popular from this campground. All types of boating activities are allowed on the Reservoir.

Calamity Campground

Palisades Creek Campground

Location: From Swan Valley go 7 miles east on US 26, then 2 miles northwest on Forest Road 255. 8 campsites available on a first come first serve basis, the fee is $10/night and $20/night double.

Trail from campground leads to the Upper and Lower Palisades Lakes where there is excellent fishing. Trail is approximately 4 miles to the lower lake and 7.5 miles to the upper lake. Parking and a stock landing is available for equestrians.

Palisades Creek Campground

Big Elk Creek Campground

Location: From Palisades go 5.4 miles southeast on US 26; then 1.4 miles northeast on Forest Road 262. 18 campsites on Palisades Reservoir and 2 group sites which will accommodate 100-160 people. Reservations can be made at ReserveUSA.com for the group sites only, the fee is $35/group of 1-25 and $1/person thereafter. The fee is $10/night single and $20/night double.

Trail from campground goes north along Big Elk Creek and can be done as loop. Day use parking is available as well as a loading ramp for Equestrians.

Big Elk Creek Campground

McCoy Creek Campground

Location: From Alpine, WY go 5 miles south on Hwy 26/89 then 7 miles north on Forest Rd 087. 19 campsites at the southern end of Palisades Reservoir available on a first come, first serve at $8/night single and $16/night double.

Wildlife viewing, fishing, trailheads, and all types of water sport activities are allowed on the Reservoir. There is a boat ramp accessible from this campsite.

McCoy Creek Campground

Blowout Campground

Location: From Alpine, WY go about 12 miles northwest on US Hwy 26. 10 campsites on the east side of Palisades Reservoir, all sites are on a first come, first serve basis and the fee is $10/single and $20/double per night.

Fishing for Cutthroat and brown trout on the Reservoir, Water skiing, swimming and sailing are popular from this site as well as having the second largest boating facility on the Reservoir Shoreline parking is available for Day Use only (primarily parking for boaters).

Blowout Campground

Falls Campground

Location: From Swan Valley, go 4 miles west on US 26; 2 miles south on Forest Rd 058. The group site is 1/4 mile from the main campground. 20 single campsites, 4 double sites, and 1 group site, which is handicapped accessible and can accommodate up to 150 campers. The campground can accommodate a 45 foot RV. Reservations can be made at ReserveUSA.com, the fee is $10/night for single, $20/night for double and $35/night for the group (1-25 people) and $1/person thereafter.

Fishing, wildlife viewing, and sight seeing. The most popular is the Fall Creek Falls, located 1 mile west of the campground, which descends 60 feet over a travertine outcropping.

Alpine Campground

Location: From Alpine, WY go 3 miles northwest on US 26. 13 single campsites, 3 doubles and 3 group areas, available on a first come, first serve at single $10/night, double $20/night, and group is $35/night (1-25 people) and $1/person thereafter. Reservations can be made for the North Loop only on ReserveUSA.com.

Fishing, hiking, horseback riding, biking and all water sports are available from this campground. The nearest boat ramp is at Grand Canyon, to the south. Winter sports are also available.

Alpine Campground

Riverside Campground

Location: From Swan Valley, ID go 8 miles South on US 26. 14 campsites available on a first come, first serve at $10/night single and $20/night double. Running water and restrooms are available. Site has picnic tables, fire rings, and barbeque grills. Some sites have RV hookups, please see camp host for availability.

 

Fishing from the South Fork of the Snake River is popular from this campground and can be accessed right from the campground and Day Use area.
