The tree frogs are typically small )less than 2 1/4 inches long), slender frogs that also have slender legs.  They have well developed toe tips with sticky adhesive pads and and extra cartilage segments between the last two bones of each toe. This enables the toes to swivel and keep flat against all surfaces.  The pupil of their eyes are horizontal.  Eggs are deposited in water in masses.  Two genera of the tree frog family are represented in the Intermountain Region, Hyla and Pseudacris.
