The trail continues to Jack's Creek Crossing and the junction with Dockweiler Trail 259. A strenuous three mile climb up the obvious trail takes one through the woods to the Pecos Baldy Lake area and the junction with Skyline Trail 251. The two trails are together for approximately .75 miles on Trailriders' Wall after which the Jack's Creek Trail veers east and north to the junction with Sebadillosos Trail 245. This section of trail is very difficult when snowy or icy which are common until late June under normal snowfall conditions. The trail follows the base of Trailriders' Wall intersecting the South Fork Trail 255 two times and crossing the head of the South Fork Rito Azul.

A junction with North Azul Trail 264 is found a quarter mile after crossing the head of the Azul. The trail continues through forest and boggy areas interescting Chimayosos Trail 246 and eventually climbs through a series of meadows to the junction with Skyline Trail 251.
