Description:

This trail segment can be used in conjunction with a number of trails as part of a loop to provide an interesting pack trip of several days. The area is lightly used and provides good opportunites for solitude. Starting from the junction of Beaver Creek, the Hollinger Trail travels up the grassy meadow alongside Hollinger Creek. The trail crosses the stream many times in the two miles before the junction with Blue Bell Ridge Trail 212.

Notes:

This trail is in the Pecos Wilderness. Motorized equipment and mechanized transportation, including mountain bikes, hunter carts, and chainsaws are prohibited.

There are few places to camp along this trail due to the narrowness of the canyon bottom.

Several spots are tricky for horses and should only be attempted with an experienced mountain horse.
