Paliza Group Campground

Location: Three miles north of Ponderosa on Forest Road 10

Access: From the Jemez Ranger Station go south 13 miles to the junction of State Road 290. Turn left and follow State Road 290 approximately 7 miles. State Road 290 will then turn into Forest Road 10 which is a graveled single lane road. Continue on Forest Road 10 for an additional 2.25 miles to campground turnoff. Do not confuse with Paliza Family Campground which is also on Forest Road 10 at the junction of Forest Road 10 and 266.

Uses: Picnicking, fishing, hiking, and camping

Group Sites: Group Site A will accomodate 25 people. Group Site B will accommodate 100 people.

Fees: This is a reservation only area. Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777. or online at www.recreation.gov.

Notes:

bulletElevation at the campground is 6800 feet.

bulletThere is also a 14 day stay limit in the campground.
