Trail 82 Cañones Creek Trail

HikingPack and Saddle

Length: 8 miles
Difficulty: Difficult
Use: Moderate
Seasons: Summer through Fall
Trail Access: From Highway 96 take Forest Road 100 for seven and a half miles. From here, take spur road 173 southeast until you get to the Mogote parking area. Trailhead for Trail 102 starts here. It meets with Trail 82 at the bottom of the canyon.

Description:

The Cañones Creek trail is the longest trail in the Coyote District. The elevation ranges from 9,940 feet at Cerro Pavo to 7,510 feet to 8,840 feet at the end of the trail at Mesa Escoba.
