Forest Road 317 to 100 Mesa Laguna Route

Length: 12 miles
Difficulty: Difficult
Seasons: Summer through early Fall
Trail Access: From Highway 96 take Forest Road 316 for 3.5 miles then take Forest Road 100. The route starts here. Forest Road 100 is seven miles long until it meets with Forest Road 317 to the southwest. Forest Road 317 is five miles long until it meets with the Coyote Canyon Picnic Grounds and Forest Road 316.

Description:

This portion of Forest Road 100 that makes this route is steep and rocky. Forest Road 317 is also steep. It follows the Coyote Canyon Creek down to the junction with Forest Road 316.

Spectacular views of aspen are encountered along the route. During hunting season, this route recieves heavy use.
