Trail 30 Rio Gallina

Use: Light
Seasons: Summer through Fall
Trail Access: From Highway 96 take Forest Road 76 for four miles. From here, take Road 14 (a native dirt road) for 1.5 miles. The trailhead starts at the end of Road 14.

Description:

This is a moderately steep hill that flattens out near the eastern end. It travels through mixed conifer and aspen forest with some scenic meadows interspersed.

 

Notes:

bulletNo motor vehicles or motorized equipment in the wilderness area.

bulletThe Wilderness provides habitat for elk, deer bear, coyote, beaver and other small mammals and rodents that can occasionally be observed along the trail.
