Trail 293 Hart Canyon Trail

Length: 1.5 miles
Difficulty: Difficult
Use: Light
Seasons: Summer through Fall
Trail Access: From Highway 84 nine miles north of the Ghost Ranch Living Museum turn left on Forest Road 145. This is an unpaved road therefore inquire about road conditions prior to trip. Go for 19 miles to the Hart Canyon Trailhead at the end of the road.

Description:

This trail begins at the edge of the canyon and descends 400 feet within a half mile after several switchbacks. The trail is not marked at the bottom, but continues in a northwesterly direction for an additional mile to the lower end of the Rio Cebolla where it meets the Rio Chama.

 

Notes:

bulletNo motor vehicles or motorized equipment in the wilderness area.

bulletForest Road 145 is in the Carson National Forest.
