Forest Road 151 Rio Chama Canyon Road

Length: 13 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Seasons: Summer through late Fall
Trail Access: From Highway 84 go 1/2 mile north from the Ghost Ranch Living Museum.

Description:

This road travels through a wide valley with spectacular red cliffs on both sides of the canyon walls, and has unlimited opportunities for solitude. The road crosses several arroyos and has some sharp bends along the lower section. The road dead-ends at private property which is the Monastery of Christ in the Desert.
